Delicious pastries and bread. I adore their country and oat porridge bread, tender inside, crusty outside with that sharp sourdough flavor. Croissants are top notch.

Glad to have a location closer to home. Whenever I have time I grab a loaf of bread and some ham and cheese croissants. Incredible quality but you pay for it.

Pastries are really good here, the crossaints and the bread are really good. Family lives super close to tartine, so whenever my grandma has time, she’ll take us to tartine. Once I ordered the salmon and cream cheese sandwich. (Forgot if it had eggs) It was so good, and the smoked salmon melted in my mouth. I’ll come back soon!

Very tasty! I’ve visited a few times and have enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich, strawberry danish, and yogurt parfait. It is a higher price point than some bakeries but to me, its higher quality. The food is flavorful and not overly sweet. Usually the yogurt in parfaits are full of sugar but not at Tartine, I think they use plain yogurt which was refreshing. Staff was nice. they only have outdoor seating. I go early and have found free street parking. there were short lines inside but I’m there early and that probably depends on the time of day.

Tartine offers a couple vegan options. Both decent and good. Friendly staff who rang me up.

This is definitely the most chill of all the Tartines that I’ve visited (both in SF and LA). I always order my bread loafs online and swing by to pick them up. The coffee is lovely and the pastries are always on point. The raspberry cornmeal pastry and lemon tart are definite standouts. They have a nice seating area outside (no indoor seating), which is lovely for a lunch or coffee rendezvous.

Have you heard of Tartine bakery? If not, should head over to the newly opened Tartine in Pasadena and try their pastries and breads and then you know why you should definitely know this bakery. They are famous for their artisan pastry and breads. In fact, Tartine was on Neflix’s second season Chef Show. In the show, Chad Robertson, the co-owner showed the TV host Jon Fareau and Roy Choi how to make sourdough bread. Every time I go to San Francisco, I have to visit Tartine to get their croissant and sourdough sandwich even though I have to wait in a long line. The bread truly is spectacular, with incredible flavor and texture that may just ruin mass-produced sliced bread for visitors who fall in love with the good stuff. Tartine’s San Francisco cafe is a carb-lover’s paradise, with multiple different types of delicious rustic and classic French bread recipes baked up fresh daily. When I heard that Tartine is opening a bakery in Pasadena, I was excited and looking forward to its opening. I finally got a chance to visit the bakery today after church. Got myself a regular and an Almond croissant, a sourdough turkey sandwich for my wife and a cup of coffee and ice tea. The croissants are heavenly. They are very butterly and crispy. I loved the multilayer structure of the croissant. That’s indication of a good crafted pastry. No wonder Tartine has won so many awards. With technical prowess and refined creativity leading to delicious results, Tartine has won a number of prestigious food awards. It won a James Beard Award for excellence in baking and pastry, and it’s regularly named to “best of” lists in the Bay Area and for the United States as a whole. So now that Tartine is here locally with locations throughout LA, we don’t have to go to SF in order to get the taste of the famous and delicious breads and pastries.

Edit: seems like the owner took the recommendation seriously. There's rubber caps on all chairs. This is so much of a better experience. Thanks, I'll be coming back. The food and pastries here are generally acceptable, though I would describe them as generic rather than exceptional. When compared to some of Pasadena's truly excellent bakeries, such as Cars, the offerings here fall short of being 'special.' However, my primary issue is with the outdoor dining setup. The constant, loud screeching noise from the metal chairs whenever a patron moves them is genuinely troubling and disruptive. It significantly detracts from the experience. Simple solutions, like adding plastic or rubber caps to the chair legs(in orange), could easily resolve this major noise problem and vastly improve the atmosphere... I update the review if the owners actually read any of the reviews

I was recommended by my friends. And the food is excellent! What amazed me is the service. This male cashier was very informative and helpful. He went out of his way to patiently explain the different types of bread and the unique health benefits of sourdough, answering all of my questions with genuine enthusiasm and knowledge. His kindness and willingness to spend time helping me made the experience truly memorable. It’s rare these days to encounter someone in customer service who is so patient, thoughtful, and generous with their time. He made me feel welcomed rather than rushed, and his exceptional service is one of the reasons I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for making my visit such a pleasant one!
